Hello! I'm back with another weekly blog. Sorry if some of it seems redundant, but please enjoy, nonetheless! =)

Luke 10:38-42; 11:1-13; 12:13-40; 13:23-24; 14:16-33

1. We must be willing to listen to the words of the Lord, and make that our top priority; pray always; give charity/service/love to one another; ask and seek for truth/revelation; beware of covetousness, never doubt, seek the kingdom of God, be prepared and watch for the second coming; strive to enter in at the strait and narrow gate into the celestial kingdom; be obedient, welcome those less fortunate, love the Lord more than anyone else, do not procrastinate, build a firm foundation for your faith, forsake everyone and everything for the Lord’s sake.
Those who follow him will be able to get through the gates of heaven and be able to live and claim their heavenly treasures and estate in the kingdom.

2. One thing that I would like to work on and apply to my life more is to never doubt... or procrastinate. I suppose that would be two. I’ve always had a hard time completely trusting others when concerning my worries. This also includes when I’d pray to Heavenly Father for guidance. I suppose it’s because I don’t think I can really do much, so I don’t expect much of myself or of any blessings or answers that I’d need. It’s really hard sometimes to trust that the Lord will help you. But I believe that trusting in the Lord would bring me clearer answers and many more blessings.
Another thing that I’ve been working on is procrastination. Though, I can tell I’ve started to subconsciously work at it. For example, I’ve been getting a lot of my homework done early, and I’ve never gotten homework done early before, unless it was simple for me to understand. Now I want to work on that with scripture reading and doing what I’m supposed to do to be spiritually prepared.

3. Luke 14:33; Omni 1:26; Mosiah 2:34; Matt. 13:44-46
Forsake all that you have; partake of his salvation, the power of his redemption, offer your whole souls as an offering unto him, continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; know that we are eternally indebted to our Heavenly Father, and render to him all that we have and are; search and learn for the true gospel and do all that is good in the eyes of the Lord. This is what is ultimately required to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. On a further note, to “render all that we have and are” to the Lord means that we must offer up all the knowledge, talents, and skills we have, along with who we are as a whole. We must grow to be the best people we can be and strive to be like Jesus so that we may be able to follow him and serve him and those that the Lord loves.

This came at a perfect time for me to read. This is stuff that I need to work on as well, especially relying on the Lord for His help and His guidance. You get in this pattern of thinking that you can do things on your own and you close yourself off from communicating thoroughly with Him. It's true; it's hard to allow yourself to let go and put your burdens on the Lord so that He can sustain you.

Perfect, perfect subject(s) and great scriptures. Thanks for sharing. :)
